St Botolph's Restoration

WE’VE DONE IT!

Thanks to the massive support of individuals, local businesses, local charities and national charities, we are delighted to announce that we have reached our target of:
£144,500.
The tower roof timber and covering have been replaced. Internal floors have been repaired and made safe. Many stones in the tower, south aisle and south clerestory have been replaced and the whole of the Tower has been cleaned, with re-pointing as necessary. Some slates on the south aisle roof have been replaced. High level drainpipes have been re-fixed and painted. The clock weights holes through the ringing chamber and in the kitchen floor have been closed, making more useful space. The weathervane has been re-painted.
We have been able to do more work than first anticipated and still keep the project within budget!
Installation of the new heaters in the nave and aisles is complete.
New lighting has been fitted.
Obsolete wiring in the electrical cupboard has been replaced, so the church is now brighter, warmer and safer.
...so
THANK YOU ALL
